Research: Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, Feminism, "Women's Spaces" and Transwomen
I am posting today because I am writing a paper focusing on feminism, women's spaces and transwomen.

Please, include a first name, age, location and approximate age (15-20,20-25, 25-30, 30-35, etc) for bibliography purposes. Thank you.

1. From your perspective, what is the history of the Michigan Womyn's Festival?

2. How did you first hear about it? If you have attended, when and what was your first experience at the festival?

3. If you have been more than once, why do you continue to come back each year? How has the festival changed over the years?

4. If you are comfortable explaining, how does your gender identity and sexual orientation come into play in terms of attending the festival? Does the festival affirm either?

5. What is your take on Camp Trans and the controversy over the "womyn born womyn" policy?

6. Why do you think this has become a highly debated issue? Do you agree with one side versus the other? Do you agree with the womyn-born-womyn policy?

7. Do you know anyone who had been unable to attend due to their real or perceived gender identity? Is someone policing the door to the festival?

8. Transwomen do attend the event each year. In your opinion, why does Camp Trans exist if transwomen are able to attend?

9. Do you consider yourself a feminist? Do you see the event as a feminist event?

Please, feel free to add any additional comments.

Thank you!
